Sea Island Cotton Socks

Pantherella has the exclusive rights in the UK to produce socks from Genuine Sea Island Cotton, as approved by WISICA (West Indian Sea Island Cotton Association). As a mark of authenticity all Pantherella Sea Island Cotton socks carry an official WISICA hologram.

Unlike Sea Island Quality used by most manufacturers this is the real McCoy! Sea Island cotton is as strong as silk, as soft as Cashmere and as durable as wool, but with the advantage of being cool to the skin, easy to care for and extremely versatile.

Grown only in the West Indies, it is a unique strain of cotton seed having exeptionally long staple(over 50% longer). The unique climate and longer growing season results in the cotton imparting incomparable softness and sheen, and must be hand harvested.

This range of socks comprises of some 100% Sea Island Cotton Socks, and some which have a small amount of nylon (20%) added, giving durability in wear without compromising any other of the Sea Island Cotton Properties. (Please see individual sock discriptions for composition.)
