Placing an order with us.
When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an e-mail to confirm that we have received your order.
Once we have checked the price and availability of the goods we will process your order and you will receive notification that your order has been processed and dispatched.
We will not take payment from you until we have accepted your order.
In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or that we have made a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this.
If the goods you order are not available, we will contact you to enable you to choose a suitable alternative, to alter the order or to cancel it completely.
Prices are in Pounds sterling and excluding delivery costs.
If you have created an account you will be able to access your account and view details of any completed or pending orders as any time using your customer login details.
We store all order details securely and they are never passed to any third parties and are only ever used for purposes of processing your order and for your information.
How to place an order.
Simply browse the site using the appropriate contols and add items to your shopping basket, you will be able to change or cancel any items in the basket prior to checking out.
Once you have made your selections proceed to checkout by clicking on the appropriate button. You will then be guided through the purchasing process in a completely secure environment and your order will normally dispatched within 2 working days (48 hours) Monday to Friday.
In the event of there being any problems with the order you will be contacted directly in order to make alternative choices or to cancel the order. As we operate a deferred order system your card will not be charged until we dispatch your goods, you will at this stage be sent an e-mail telling you that your goods have been dispatched and your card charged.
Please ensure that the delivery address you enter at the checkout is correct as Wood's Of Shropshire LTD cannot be held responsible for any parcels missing due to incorrect information supplied. If your parcel is returned to sender due to incorrect details being supplied at the time of ordering, you may incure further postage charges to re-dispatch your parcel to the correct address.
Your Online Security
We realise that many first time customers do not feel at ease with making payments by credit card over the Internet but many millions of such transactions are carried out every day with absolutely no problems. It is in fact safer than giving your card to a waiter in a restaurant or giving your card details over the phone.
We use the very latest SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology to protect any information communicated through the transaction. This will make it impossible for anyone else to decode.
Your Credit card details are not held on the Internet and we do not store or hold any of your card details. If you have not created an account on any future purchases you will be asked to re-input some information, any information that we do store is for purely transactional purposes and will never be disclosed to any third parties.
UK Standard Delivery
We will normally however endeavour to dispatch goods within 2 working days (48 hours) Monday to Friday of receiving the order In the event of items being out of stock we will advise you immediately allowing you to.
- Be informed of estimated delivery and wait for dispatch.
- Order a suitable alternative.
- Cancel the order and have your credit card credited in full.

UK Expedited Delivery - an additional £5.00. (This will require a signature upon receipt.)
All Items purchased where the Expedited service had been requested will be sent out within 24 hours (working days only) of receiving the order.
In the event of items being out of stock or subject to delayed dispatch you will of course be contacted immediately to discuss delivery options, please ensure you supply your daytime telephone number.
Goods ordered Monday to Thursday before 2.00 pm will be delivered the following day by 5.30 pm *
Goods ordered after 2.00 pm on Thursday will be sent on Friday for delivery on the following Monday *
Goods ordered after 2.00pm on Friday will be dispatched the following Monday and will be delivered the following day by 5.30 pm *
* Please take into account Bank Holidays, i.e. Bank Holiday Monday becomes Tuesday.

Non UK Delivery cost
All items will be dispatched in 2 working days (48 hours) Monday to Friday, unless otherwise stated - carriage will be charged as at point of order. For deliveries within Europe and the United States, please allow up to 14 days. For deliveries to other worldwide destinations please allow 21 Days.
All items are insured in transit.

Prices, Payments and Costs
PRICES on this website are in Pounds Sterling. If you are purchasing in a different Currency, the prevailing exchange rate will be charged at that time by your card company. They may also apply a small service charge. We unfortunately have no control over these rates but we have provided a currency converter at the checkout so that you may get a good idea of what the rate will be.
The price paid for a product will be the same whether ordering from the UK or Overseas, in Pounds Sterling. Delivery Charges vary due to different services available. Non UK Delivery Charges are capped for Small and Large Items; therefore absorbing any additional costs incurred, this being the case VAT will not be deducted from Overseas orders.
DUTY PAYMENTS - Products delivered to some destinations may be subject to fees, levies, taxes or other charges, which are imposed by local legislation. The recipient of the products is responsible for all customs formalities for their export and import, and will be required to pay any additional charges, including formal customs entry, import duty, levies, taxes and other charges. The recipient of the goods (not the person who's ordered them) will receive a separate request for payment of these charges.
Cancellation and returns
We aim to delight our customers and make every effort to ensure that the products that you order reach you in perfect condition. If for any reason the products do not meet your expectations please return them to us unused and in the condition supplied as follows
The Law allows for a 14 day cooling off period from receipt of the goods to inform us in writing or any other durable form of your wish to cancel. We however allow you up to 28 days to allow you to excercise this right. Please simply complete the below actions if you wish to cancel or amend your order and we will respond as requested.
1. Complete the returns note
2. Put the item to be returned including any included accessories such as collar stiffeners or silk knots and all product packaging into the dispatch box/envelope accompanied by the completed returns note.
3. Attach the freepost returns label/address to the outside of the box/envelope, UK Returns only.
4. Seal the box/envelope securely preferably with adhesive tape.
5. Take the package to any UK post office and ask for a certificate of posting - please retain this, in the event of the goods not reaching us they will have to be located using this certificate prior to any refund being made.
That's it, if you have chosen an alternative item this will be sent to you by return, if not and if you have chosen to cancel the order we will credit your credit card on receiving the goods - this may take 5-10 days depending on the postal service.
For Customers Wishing to return goods from outside the UK we request that you contact us directly in order to agree the best method of return, as we ship Worlwide we may ask you to return by varying methods depending on your location. We unfortunately cannot cover the cost of returning goods to us from outside the UK but we will credit your account upon receipt of the returned goods, or send replacements or alternatives at no cost to you. Your statutory rights are not effected by any of the above, but we would like to remind customers returning goods to us that they have a duty of care over the products until they are received back by us, we may contact customers to discuss the condition of returned goods should their condition give us cause for concern
