Atkinsons Ties

Richard Atkinson first started making fine Irish Poplin (a blend of fine silk and wool yarns) in 1820, the fabric became synonymous with quality and the rich and distinctive patterns including regimental stripes were quickly adopted by the Royal houses of Europe and were awarded Royal Warrants by Queen Victoria.

It is not unusual to see the British Royal family of today sporting an Atkinson’s Royal Poplin Tie, They are The Choice of Princes and Kings to be. There’s something very special about an Atkinsons tie, individually hand finished in their Newtownabbey factory in Northern Ireland, they represent the quality and values of a bygone age. The King of Ties!
